Today we started the day with a 15 minute walk to Northwood station where we caught a train to Baker Street. We arrived there at 10:30 - half hour early for our 11:00 booking at Madam Tussaud so we walked up to 221b Baker St, home of the Sherlock Holmes museum. We didn't go in - just had a look at the souvenir shop - before heading around the corner to the famous wax museum.
Madam Tussaud's was good but tiring. We will send more pics separately. We then had an expensive lunch across the road but the kids got their fish and chips.
We then went back to the Sherlock Holmes museum where we found four storeys of settings, props and clues related to the famous consulting detective.
We went back into the train station and went on the London Eye before walking along the lake, across the bridge and up Northumberland Ave (and yes this area is the origin of Monopoly) to Trafalgar Square where the kids posed with the lions.
We are now on the train back home. Tired but loved going around London on foot and train.
